Senior Interior Designer
We are looking for a talented Senior Interior Designer with a minimum of 7 years experience, to join our team in Accra and work on high profile projects. The candidate will have a proven experience of successfully leading an interiors team and overseeing projects from inception to completion.
The candidate will have a portfolio of high-quality interiors in hospitality, residential, civic, & commercial/mixed-use sectors.

Essential Skills:

Adjaye Associates is looking for a Project Team Member in our New York office interested in working on a broad range of scales from private houses, retail and exhibitions to cultural centers, civic landmarks, residential towers and community masterplans. The successful candidate will share in our devotion for social impact and will be committed to developing high-quality work in a self-motivated but collaborative manner, with a strong desire to continually learn.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with and report daily to Project Lead and/or Project Architect
  • Drafting comprehensive drawing sets from concept through construction documents
  • Generate detailed 3D models to develop all aspects throughout the changing design process
  • Produce professional‐level photo realistic renderings
  • Build physical models throughout all project phases using combination of hand and machine
  • Provide research assistance for topics such as site context or material and system selections
  • Assist project architects in dimensional surveys of existing site/building conditions
  • Communicate with consultants and clients to implement their goals in project deliverables
  • Maintain files including drawings, documents, specifications, correspondences and all other project materials in an organised manner following protocols
  • Ensure all deliverables produced follow standards of the firm and direction from project leader or principal
  • Develop design and presentation documents in support of various project phases

The successful candidate will share in our devotion for social impact, and should have experience managing consultants, contractors, and clients while mentoring a team to complete extremely high-quality work in a self-motivated but collaborative manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reporting to the Principle, Director, and Senior Leaders
  • Management of junior team members
  • Drafting comprehensive drawing sets from concept through construction documents
  • Developing presentations, renderings, and models
  • Resolve design issues with creative and practical solutions by developing multiple design options that meet the project budget and design approach
  • Coordinate with consultants, fabricators, vendors and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.

Visualiser
Adjaye Associates is looking for a Visualiser in our New York office. The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of professional experience in a marketing or business development role within the Architectural or Interior industry. The coordinator should be a proven self-starter, able to identify areas of growth or opportunity and execute projects with minimal direction, work well under pressure, able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks often with competing deadlines.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating high-quality renders in cooperation with and under the direction of project leaders, design staff
  • When applicable, producing animations and VR materials
  • Building and organising our visualisation library

Experience & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in graphics, art, architecture or other design related
  • Experience in Architectural visualisation preferred
  • Solid understanding of all phases of production and render farms
  • Creative and thoughtful, with a keen eye for details
  • Comfortable collaborating with colleagues at various levels, from junior to directors
  • Strong skills in V-Ray (making materials, lighting, render setup) Rhino and Enscape will be highly advantageous
  • Experience with (Photoshop & After Effects)
  • Working knowledge of CAD drawings and models
