Project Architect

Adjaye Associates are seeking a Project Architect to lead the development and coordination of architectural projects from design through construction. The ideal candidate will mentor a team to complete extremely high-quality work in a self-motivated but collaborative manner. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems, codes, and construction documentation, as well as the ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Execute vision across all aspects of design/team members and report regularly to Project Directors and studio leadership.
  • Mentor junior staff and lead project development.
  • Responsible for the development of comprehensive drawing sets from concept through construction documents compliant with all regulations.
  • Develop and oversee the development of detailed 3D models to develop all aspects throughout the changing design process.
  • Oversee the production of, and where required, produce realistic renderings.
  • Oversee physical models throughout all project phases using a combination of hand and machine.
  • Develop and maintain project administrative documents such as agendas, meeting minutes, and directories including schedule of production and coordination with consultant team.
  • Lead the construction administration phase for a project.
  • Coordinate with visualization department for renderings.
  • Proactive in anticipating and addressing any potential issues.
  • Oversee the compliance across all materials with building code, zoning, regulations and sustainability requirements and process as well as the selection of main building materials and their appropriate aesthetics for the design vision of the firm.
  • Orchestrate the work of all consultants to ensure a cohesive, coordinated set.
  • Review all aspects of the drawing set to confirm design intent.
  • Perform frequent quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews of all project content produced to ensure alignment of studio QA/QC.
  • Actively support environmental sustainability by making mindful choices that conserve resources and promote a sustainable work environment.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent design, and presentation skills
  • Experience of working on civic and cultural projects
  • Proven creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience and high-level knowledge of all Autodesk packages (including Revit), Rhino, Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Proactive and enthusiastic individuals with good attention to detail
  • Has successfully completed their licensing or certification process
  • Fluent in the English language, both written and verbal skills

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in architecture

Architect

Adjaye Associates are seeking an Architect to contribute to the design and delivery of various projects from concept through construction. The role involves leading the production of realistic renderings, carrying out technical and design development, and collaborating with project teams and consultants. Strong design sensibility, technical proficiency, and attention to detail are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate professional judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Mentor and educate junior team on Adjaye Associates design framework.
  • Lead project development and report daily to Project Leads.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive drawing sets from concept through construction documents.
  • Support the development of detailed 3D models to develop all aspects throughout the changing design process.

  • Support in the construction administration phase for a project.

  • Support senior team in coordination with clients and consultants.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in architecture post qualification (Masters or equivalent)
  • Licensed with the Ghana Institute of Architects or from a recognized area of jurisdiction outside of Ghana.

Landscape Architect

Adjaye Associates are seeking a Landscape Architect to contribute to developing sustainable design solutions, conducting research, and project coordination.

The ideal candidate will contribute innovative ideas to help create functional and dynamic spaces and help shape thoughtful, sustainable environments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct preliminary site studies
  • Assess sites’ potential to meet client specifications
  • Produce detailed drawings and documentation
  • Client and consultant engagement
  • Produce technical and creative documents for client meetings and presentations
  • Delivery of complex and large-scale landscape projects across all three offices
  • Actively support environmental sustainability by making mindful choices that conserve resources and promote a sustainable work environment

Essential Skills:

  • Understanding of different climates and conditions to recommend suitable evidence of a design understanding
  • Strong knowledge and passion around sustainability
  • Strong technical and graphic capabilities

  • Ability to take initiative in response to direction or instruction
  • Strong organisation skills, ability to work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with the following software: Revit (essential), AutoCAD, Rhino, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in landscape architecture or landscape design and management
