Knoll Textile Collection

N/A (2015)

When designing textiles, I'm very much thinking about an intimate emotional response, whereas in designing architecture it is much more about large-scale relationships between histories, cultures and geographies. - David Adjaye

The Adjaye Collection is a collaboration between architect David Adjaye and Creative Director Dorothy Cosonas. The collection features six upholsteries, two draperies, and one wallcovering each inspired and named after specific countries in Africa. Through complex weaving techniques, colour and graphic patterning, the fabrics resonate with the landscapes they originate from and encapsulate in their form a deep sense of nostalgia for their geography.
