David Adjaye to design folly as part of the 5th Gwangju Biennale
Curated by Nikolaus Hirsch, Philipp Misselwitz and Eui Young Chun, the pavilion is one of a series of newly commissioned Follies seeking to investigate the present day constitution of spatial practice more than 30 years after the Democratic Uprising – in contemporary Gwangju as well as in the broader global arena. The Gwangju Folly II project features cross-disciplinary collaborations between artists, architects, writers and collectives from diverse contexts.
